M'lady Trelliven,
I ask your advice. It seems that Sir Erik Metzler of Shireroth would like a treaty with our fair micronation. We're as of yet undecided if that is truly a path that can even be taken, since we are somewhat seccessionist (or rather, sociopolitical simulation), but Shireroth is more of a fantasy micronation (more roleplay elements).
Let me know if you'd like to know more, m'lady Archon. Conversations are being archived, and they will be put up here for reading at your leisure if you can imagine it at all.
Their forum is at http://shireroth.kuroshiro.net/forum/.
Thank you for reading. *bows* |

I will, indeed, be taking a look at these conversations and I will give them careful consideration. I welcome your input here as well.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. |

Mind, currently, the conversation back-log is not yet in plural form. Forgive me, I hadn't assumed you would be quite so quick to react. ^_^;
This is what's been discussed:
| Quote: | [...]
Kaiser Mors V: I forget.. are you one of my citizens?
Kaiser Mors V: no.. you aren't.. unless you just aren't on the list..
Neike Taika-Tessaro: I'm not one of your citizens, no, which I probably can't explain without sounding horribly rude (but without intending to).
Kaiser Mors V: You don't like us?
Kaiser Mors V: :)
Neike Taika-Tessaro: No, I like Shireroth - aside from Dark Arcadia, it's the only micronation I visit. You're chockful of cool people. What more could I ask for? Well, I'm a roleplayer, and I like to separate my micronational dealings from my roleplaying... I take micronations very seriously on default, which is problematic, since many of them don't fall into the "very, very, boringly serious" category that I so enjoy.
Neike Taika-Tessaro: It's just a different world.
Kaiser Mors V: ahhh
Kaiser Mors V: We're to RP and silly?
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Well, either too much, or too little. ;) I like both aspects, I'm just an irritating purist.
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Meshing both things just doesn't work for my little brain.
Kaiser Mors V: ahh.. and we are.. a weird blend..
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Yes. ^_^ But a very cool 'weird blend'.
Kaiser Mors V: half the time I keep them straight...
Kaiser Mors V: some call that [schizophrenia]...
[...]
Kaiser Mors V: how do you know Shyriath?
Neike Taika-Tessaro: We roleplayed together back when insidetheweb.com was still live (it was a guestbook / messageboard type place).
Kaiser Mors V: who brought who to micronations if either...
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Neither. I discovered micronations via curiosity back when NationStates popped up (NationStates's topic inspiring micronational thoughts and all) and pondered it seriously but never got into it, though I kept plans for Dark Arcadia around for eons. Shyriath joined Shireroth on his own, and I stumbled across Shireroth trying to stalk Shyriath, which then relit that fire and ended up having me start DA.
Kaiser Mors V: Do we have a treaty?
Kaiser Mors V: if not.. we need one
Neike Taika-Tessaro: I don't think it would be sane to mix micronational concepts like that. I have financial ties to my micronation. A treaty seems almost meaningless - DA has no interest in Micras, and is a mostly decentralised social and political project. I mean... I'm not saying I dislike the idea, but I'm wondering if it would, well, mean anything?
Kaiser Mors V: Does anything in micronations mean anything?
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Well, I like to think DA does. ;-) Which is kind of the 'problem'.
Kaiser Mors V: oh?
Neike Taika-Tessaro: We'd probably take the treaty seriously. As in, seriously-seriously. Which is strange, since we'd be trying to do... what exactly? I mean, DA is purely practical. It's a different world.
Kaiser Mors V: That's why I love shireroth... it's everything... little do people realize how seriously I take it.. (there is a Shireroth flag hanging above my fireplace in my apartment)
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Very nice. o.O
Kaiser Mors V: yeah... it's not a great flag... but it is there... my ex made it... *grumbles something under his breath*
Kaiser Mors V: In what way would you be taking it seriously.. as in DA is seccessionist?
Neike Taika-Tessaro: 'Seccessionist'?
Kaiser Mors V: trying to be a real country..
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Yes.
Neike Taika-Tessaro: (At least in approximation.)
Kaiser Mors V: I'm personally secessionist but Shireroth as a whole isn't
Kaiser Mors V: But I'm also insane.. so
[...]
Neike Taika-Tessaro: Anyway, Dark Arcadia is more of a sociopolitical simulation, if you so want. It's an attempt at meritocracy. Our forum is very low traffic, but we talk to each other at least once a week.
Kaiser Mors V: While Shireroth is more like an online community trying to be more..
